Abstract

A carton, a receptacle and a blank for packaging fragile articles, each comprising an article supporting platform (64, 70), and upper and lower spacer means (62, 66, 74, 76; 72, 78, 80) provided to space the platform from the base (28), top (26) and sides (12, 14, 16, 18) of an outer carton (10) in which the receptacle (50) is disposed, wherein one or more of the upper and lower spacer means comprises a pair of members (62, 66, 74, 76; 72, 78, 80) extending mutually divergently from the platform such that each of the members terminate at an intersection of a pair of walls of the outer carton.
