Description

Phono record markers This innovation relates to the use of removable adhesive markers for the purpose of marking all phono records.
Up until today disc jockeys have no product that relates to "marking" or "cueing" the position of samples on their records, for the purpose of mixing and scratching of these records together.
Our innovation will offer disc jockeys pre-cut adhesive markers that can be used to mark the position on any part of the record surface/s.
The features of these markers will include: Fig. 1.0: The phono record marker.
The apex of the triangle will point the needle to the cued position, along the record groove. The marker can be printed on and will have a non-adhesive corner to act as a pull tag Fig. 2.0: Cue notes.
Placing blank markers on the record label for the purposes of writing cue notes.
Fig. 3.0: Use of phono record marker.
Placing the markers on the record label to point generally towards a cued position.
The markers will often be used in poorly lit circumstances, so the application of fluorescent, UV, glow in the dark, reflective or any colour that generally reflects well, will be used to enhance the visibility of the markers on the record. The markers will make use of "removable" adhesive on the side that sticks to the record surface. The use of others adhesives can be used, however removable adhesive will be easier for the user and reduce the possibility of damaging the record surfaces and record labels.
Further, an optional non-adhesive corner of the marker on the side that sticks to the record surface will further assist the user to place and remove the marker from the record.(1.3) The non-cueing sides of the marker may be perforated so that adhesive markers can be distributed direct from a roll.
The markers will be printed uopn to offer various designed features and logos. (1.2)
