Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 COMPLETE SPECIFICATION INNOVATIVE PATENT CARRY BAG The following statement is a full description of this invention, including the best method of performing it known to me.
This invention relates to the improvements in carry bags.
There has been many proposals of carry bags, from handbags and shoulder strap bags of various description, to waistbags.
Depending on the situation, these bags can have a disadvantage especially when performing tasks that require the use of the upper body. In the case of handbags where it takes up a useful appendage in order to carry it and with shoulder strap bags which have a tendancy to move uncontrollably when changing bodily postion. Giving them both the tendency of being restrictive and having to be put down away from the body, risking security in order not to get in the way. Also there are waistbags which leave the upper body free for movement, but don't have the option of positions like some upper body bags, which can have both carry handles and a strap on the one bag.
These problems are overcome by the present invention that provides a bag which can be carried, either around the waist or now also around the leg of the user, keeping the upper body free for tasks and giving the user the option of position to carry on the lower body.
In one form of the invention, it consists of a rectangular shaped bag and a strap with a buckle inserted through two elongate slots on the base of the bag, positioned in the middle of the left and right verticle sides of the bag. And a strap with a buckle inserted into a elongate slot on the base in the middle of the top of the bag. The first said strap coming together at the buckle around the leg and the top strap coming together at the buckle around a belt or a loop clip modified onto the garment. This forms the first position of the bag, on the leg.
In another form of the invention, it consists of a rectangular shaped bag, with the two straps coming together at one of the buckles forming one long strap, which is inserted into two elongate slots on the base of the bag located at the top of the left and right verticals of the bag, the strap coming together at the other buckle around the waist. Forming another position of the bag on the waist.
The bag may be made of any suitable material, either natural or man made.
The strap may be made of any suitable material, either natural or man made.
The bag may be of any shape, size or configuration.
The buckle may be made of any suitable material such as moulded plastic or metal.
To assist with understanding the invention, reference will now be made to the accompanying drawings, which show an example of the invention.
FIGURE 1: Shows the bag being adapted to be worn around the leg.
Referring to FIG 1 It can be seen that the carry bag according to this invention comprises a main bag on a bag base with elongate slots located on either side of the verticals of the bag (15) and (16) two at the top (11) and and two in the middle (10) and A elongate slot is also located in the middle, on the top horizontal of the bag A strap with a buckle is passed through side slots (10) and And fastened around the leg of the user. The other strap (4) with buckle is passed through elongate slot and fastened together around a belt (12) or a loop clip (13) that attachers onto the garment. Forming a bag on the leg of the user.
FIGURE 2: Shows the bag adapted to be worn around the waist.
Refering to FIG 2 Shows the carrybag being worn around the waist. The main bag using the two elongate slots (11) and at the top of the base of the bag side verticals (15) and Where the straps and are fastened at one end, using either buckle or forming an overall strap. The strap is then passed through the elongate slots (11) and the strap is then fastened around the waist using the available buckle.
It will be realised that the main bag according to this invention, is not restricted to the shape or configuration as shown in the example, but it may be of any size, shape or dimensions. And the straps are not only one set length, but can be adjusted to different lenghts at the buckle or other suitable means on the strap itself.
