Description

AUSTRALIA
Patents Act 1990 PROVISIONAL SPECIFICATION INNOVATION PATENT DISPOSABLE URINARY DEVICE The invention is described in the following statement: 2 DISPOSABLE URINARY DEVICE The invention is best described in the following statement: When away from home, any female will readily comment on either the lack of public toilet facilities, the appalling hygiene condition of the public toilet facility, or the physical inconvenience of partly removing clothing to use it.
This new product invention will overcome and answer the hygiene and convenience needs of females when they need to use a public toilet facility.
This new product invention is a disposable paper product that is made from 100% unbleached recycled paper, biodegradable and printed, using biodegradable inks, which will make the paper "fluid (urine) proofed".
The Disposable Urinary Device has a specific design shape, dimensions and colours, and will carry a registered brand name.
The Disposable Urinary Device will be packaged in a multi-pack unit and the individual packs will feature small, flexible packaging for easy carrying in a female's bag or purse.
Easy to read and understand "How to Use" directions will be printed on both the main multi-pack packaging as well as on each individual pack and will be printed in both text and graphic forms.
When extracted from its primary and secondary packaging, the Disposable Urinary Device forms into a funnel or cone shaped appearance when opened and ready for use.
There are three specific areas where this new product invention may be used with confidence: 1. PRIMARY USE: Ask any female if using a public toilet to 'wee' is a pleasant experience.
All females will reply with similar reactions as to the smell of the place, the perceived (and probable real) lack of hygiene, and the difficulties in trying not to come into contact with the toilet bowl for fear of contracting some sort of disease.
Even methods of getting to use a public toilet are unpleasant.
Techniques such as using an elbow to open and shut the cubicle door lifting the toilet lid with the toe of the shoe squatting in an awkward manner so as not to touch the toilet bowl rim pushing the toilet button with an elbow.
In short, trying with every endeavour not to come into physical contact with any part of the cubicle or the toilet itself.
At present, there is no product in the consumer market place that will allow females any degree of flexibility or hygiene when urinating, similar to those practised by males.
This new product invention meets that need because it is designed for females to effectively, hygienically and confidently urinate in a forward-facing standing position.
It also reduces the extent of removal of clothing to carry out this function, thus alleviating the concern of having clothing touching the toilet bowl or a far greater fear, of clothing coming in contact with the floor to the toilet cubicle.
2. SECONDARY USE Ask any female travelling in a car, when Mother Nature calls, if finding somewhere to stop along the side of the road is an easy and pleasant experience.
It is extremely inconvenient it's always difficult to find a 'very private' spot it's difficult and to some, intimidating to remove clothing and expose 'all'. More often than not, shoes and clothing get splashed.
This new product invention again meets this need because it is designed for females to effectively, hygienically and confidently urinate in a forward-facing standing position with a minimum of clothing required to be removed.
3. SECONDARY USE Female children can use this new product invention.
It will allow mothers to educate their girls on practises to use in public toilets, that are safe and hygienic, and thus have these issues identified at an early age and extend into adult usage.
