Abstract
Disclosed is a laser beam projector equipped with a CCD camera for taking a picture of a spot for treatment, thus permitting observation of the spot by sight. The laser beam projector has an annular projection 12 formed around a circular hole made on the front of its casing 11, and a trapezoid heat sink 13 is fitted in the circular hole with its base caught by the circumference of the annular projection 12. The annular projection 12 has threads "a" formed on its outer circumference. A tapered cap 14 has a laser beam throwing aperture "b" made on its tip end. The tapered cap 14 is screwed and fixed to the annular projection 12, and the tapered head 14 is applied to the spot with the laser beam aperture closed with the skin. The heat sink 13 has a through hole "c" made at its center, and a magnifying lens 15 is placed deep in the through hole "c", and is directed to the laser beam throwing aperture "b". The CCD camera is placed behind the magnifying lens 15 with its focal plane aligned with the lens. Another through hole "d" is made above the through hole "c" at an oblique angle relative to the center line of the heat sink 13. A spherical lens 17 is fitted in the open end of the oblique through hole "d", and the spherical lens 17 is directed at the laser beam throwing aperture b. A laser diode 18 is placed behind the spherical lens 17. A plurality of through holes "e" are made around the center through hole "c", and a high-intensity, white light emitting diode 19 is inserted in each through hole "e". <IMAGE>
