Abstract

Apparatus for monitoring the positions of rolls of a continuous casting machine comprises a dummy bar chain to which is detachably secured monitoring apparatus which includes one or more sensors and associated electronic circuitry to monitor and sense the positions of rolls of a continuous casting machine.
