Abstract

The field of the invention is that of electro-acoustic transducers. The aim is to provide an equalization method, and more generally a method for correcting the restored signal, without affecting the output of the transducers. This aim is reached with a method using at least two transducers, the second transducer (2) being so selected as to have a response amplitude/frequency curve (C) which is substantially complementary to that (A) of the first transducer (1) in order to form by adding sound signals from said transducers a resulting corrected sound signal, due to the mutual compensation of irregularities inherent to each curve (A), (C). A preferred application of such electro-acoustic transducer system is the high power sound production in congress and concert halls, or more generally the provision of sounds in any place where a public event is held.
