Abstract

The invention concerns a device for monitoring a perishable product comprising means for measuring at regular intervals a physical parameter, means for recording said parameter measured values in time, means for determining whether the parameter has moved into a critical zone for the product or not, into a zone where the product is considered to be spoilt or in an intermediate zone which is critical for said product, said zones being defined by a combination of values of the parameter and the time spent by the product in conditions defined by said parameter, and means for transferring and reading the measured values. The device consists mainly in a recorder (10), fixed on the product, and consisting of a housing (11), provided with a base (12) and a lid (13), containing a sensor, a microcontroller, memory spaces and an electromagnetic element. It further comprises indicators (15) of different colours which signal by mutual engagement the parameter evolution in time when the electromagnetic element is activated. Three metal contacts (14) enable the registered data to be transmitted into a reading head which is urged to be positioned by means (18, 19) on the recorder (10).
