Description

MOBILE SECURITY LOCKER SYSTEM This invention relates to a new mobile security locker system.
There are many recreational areas such as beaches, lakes, concerts, sporting events and the like where individuals congregate and where no or limited valuable protection facilities are provided either by the local government or businesses. Individuals are often forced to leave their valuable possessions in motor vehicles or open areas, making them open to theft. Where valuable protection facilities are provided, often they require a key to be carried by the individual that can be easily lost or stolen, or access can be limited to certain groups of individuals such as surf club members. With ever-increasing crime e rates, protection of valuables is becoming increasingly important.
.It is an object of the present invention to provide a secure environment for .individual's personal possessions at recreational areas, which is i accomplished in the following manner: The new mobile security locker system comprises of a series of individual lockers that are housed in a trailer-like system which can be towed by a motor vehicle. The mobile security locker system has protective covers which can be locked into place to protect lockers whilst travelling. Each of the lockers has an individual lock. It is the intent that this mobile security locker system would be supervised by licensed and approved personnel at public recreational forums. Individuals would hire an individual locker for the required time period and would be provided with an identification code. The security personnel would lock the individual's locker and only unlock the system when the individual returned and provided the security personnel with their identification code.
As the system is fully mobile, the mobile security locker system can be relocated to any area where there is a public gathering such as concerts, beaches, lakes, sporting events and the like.
With the above and additional objects and advantages in view, as will hereinafter appear, this invention comprises the devices, combinations and arrangements of parts hereinafter described by way of example and illustrated in the accompanying drawings of a preferred embodiment.
However it is to be understood that the features illustrated in and described with reference to the drawings are not to be construed as limiting on the scope of the invention. In the drawings: Figure 1 is a right side view of the mobile security locker system with the allweather cover closed according to the present invention; Figure 2 is a left side view of the mobile security locker system with the allweather cover closed; Figure 3 is a right side view of the mobile security locker system with the side all-weather covers rolled upwards; Figure 4 is a left side view of the mobile security locker system with the side "10 all-weather covers rolled upwards; Figure 5 is a back view of the mobile security locker system with the side allweather covers opened; o *ooFigure 6 is a front view of the mobile security locker system with the side allweather covers opened; 15 Figure 7 is a perspective view of the mobile security locker system with the side all-weather covers opened outwards; ooooo3 Figure 8 is a perspective view of two security lockers with tops removed; Figure 9 is a back view of the mobile security locker system with the side allweather covers rolled upwards, and the back all-weather cover removed; Figure 10 is a front view of the mobile security locker system with the side all-weather covers rolled upwards, and the front all-weather cover removed; Figure 11 is a bisected, top view of the mobile security locker system.
In the various figures of the drawings, like reference characters designate like parts.
The housing unit 175 is primarily trailer-like. The housing unit 175 has two wheels 8 22, with mudguards 6 and 16, located on either side to provide mobility, and a set of suspension springs 7 and 21 to stabilise the mobile security locker system when travelling. The housing unit 175 has a set of protruding treads 3, 4, 17 and 18 which allow the operator to gain easier access to the upper lockers by standing on the protruding treads 3, 4, 17 and 18. The housing unit 175 has a tow bar 2 and rear taillights 5 and 15 to allow towing by a motor vehicle. The housing unit 175 has a set of four external corner angle bars 31-34 that are located at the outer edges of the front and rear of the housing unit 175. These external corner angle bars 31-34 are used to reinforce the housing unit 175 and to provide additional strength to the housing unit 175. In addition, there is a set of four supporting beams 338-339 and 348-349 that are located towards the outer edges of the front and back of the housing unit 175 and which run from the top to the bottom of the housing unit 175. These supporting beams 338-339 and 348-349 are to stabilise and strengthen the housing unit 175.
The housing unit 175 provides the framework for the internal lockers 35-104, 176-244, 341, 343, 345 and 347. The housing unit 175 has a series of box-like .compartments on the left and right hand sides, and the back end of the housing unit 175. There is a cavity 350 at the front of the housing unit 175 which may be used for storage of the operator's equipment, such as the telescopic tubes 315 and 323. The housing unit 175 has all-weather covers 1, 314 and 322 attached to the housing unit 175 to protect the internal lockers 104, 176-244, 341, 343, 345 and 347 when travelling. The all-weather covers 1, *:"314 and 322 have eyelet holes 332-337 which are used to attach the allweather covers 1, 314 and 322 to the housing unit 175 by inserting the eyelet holes 332-337 over the locking clips 9-14, 23-26, 320-321, 328-331, and 351-352 which are attached to the outer edges of each side of the housing unit 175.
When the mobile security locker system is stationary, the all-weather covers 1, 314 and 322 may be rolled and rested on the top of the mobile security *o locker system. Alternatively, the side all-weather covers 1 may be used for shade by inserting telescopic tubes 315 and 323 through a set of circular lugs 27-30 at the front and back of the housing unit 175. The circular lugs 27-30 are positioned at the top of the supporting beams 338-339 and 348-349. The telescopic tubes 315 and 323 are then attached to the side all-weather covers by a series of straps 316-319 and 324-327 which are attached to the inside of the side all-weather covers 1.
A series of lockers 35-104, 176-244, 341, 343, 345 and 347 are fitted within the housing unit 175. Each locker drawer 105-174, 176-244, 340, 342, 344 and 346 has a lock 105-174, 245-313, 342, 344, 346 and 348 located at the middle of the right-hand side of the door.
Numerous alterations of the structures herein discussed will suggest themselves to those skilled in the art. However, it is to be understood that the present disclosure relates to preferred embodiments of the invention which are for the purpose of illustration only, and are not to be construed as a limitation of the invention.
