Abstract

The door guard for fastening underneath a door latch has a baseplate (2) fastenable to the door (1) and a bottom (3) fastened pivotably and disengageably to the baseplate, with a housing (4) screwed to it, and an electrical circuit and first means (22) for signalling a pivoting of the guard body consisting of the bottom (3) and housing (4) into a position allowing the door latch to be actuated, it being possible for the housing to be be brought out of the disengaged and detained position into the initial position only by means of a secured locking device (19). Furthermore, the guard has a switch (31) actuable by unscrewing a screw (29) fastening the housing to the bottom and switching means (33, 34, 35) which extend through the bottom (3) and the baseplate (2) and which trigger an electrical signal when the baseplate (2) is lifted off from the support (1) or the door-guard body is pivoted slightly. Such a door guard ensures that any manipulation is signalled, whereupon, depending on the switching, an alarm can be triggered. <IMAGE>
