Abstract

The metallurgical process for the production of corrosion-resistant steels and castings utilises the accompanying elements contained in scrap or in ferroalloys, in order to save part of the alloy elements. For this purpose, alloy potentials as the total alloy elements and accompanying elements having the same or a similar action are introduced, with corresponding alloying, in place of the conventional analytical limits for individual elements.
