Abstract

The steel strip (2) acts as a cathode facing a series of anodes (5, 6), while a stream of electrolyte carrying zinc is circulated between the cathode and the anodes (5', 6'). Each anode (5', 6') is fed independently of the others and the quantity of current passing through each anode (5', 6') is adjusted to obtain, from each of them, the same electrolysis current density at all points, in order to obtain on the strip (2) a zinc deposit of a compact, monooriented crystalline structure.
