Abstract

1. Process for the production of heat resistant products made of an aluminium material of the type AlMn, characterized in that an alloy, consisting of 1.2 to 2.0% manganese, 0.20 to 0.5% silicon, 0.20 to 0.35% chromium, up to 0.6% copper, up to 0.10% iron, the remainder aluminium and in total up to 0.4% of other elements, is cast and cooled within a maximum of 1/2 an hour to below 410 degrees C and the further processing of the alloy includes a heat treatment of 3 to 24 hours in a temperature range of 290 to 410 degrees C, and in that, during the further processing, any required residence times in the temperature range between 410 and 460 degrees C are limited to a maximum total of 1 hour and those at temperatures above 460 degrees C to a maximum of 20 minutes.
