Abstract

The tensioning and damping element for a synchronous belt drive has a rotationally elastic cage with several axially paired oppositely disposed operating rings (1a,1b) with equal flexural rigidity and equal diameters, and several elastic operating rings (2a,2b) arranged to lie one inside the other and radially spaced apart. Tooth bars (3) formed like stator blades are arranged in an axis-free manner between the operating rings and extend parallel to the rotational axis.
