A metal clip for wall and ceilling coverings made of wood or plastics material and consisting of boards with rectangular grooves and tongues formed at their edges, which clip two parallel end parts (2, 5) and a median part (1) disposed at right angles thereto, the end part (2, 5) being angled toward opposite sides, a hole (7) for receiving a fixing means being secured in one end part, and the other end part (2) having a free outer edge extending parallel with the median part (1) and at least one spiked tip (3), which lies in the same plane as said other end par and projects beyond the median part (1) characterized in that a further end part (4), disposed however at the other side of the median part (1), is provided in the same plane of the end part (5) having a hole (7) for receiving a fixing means, in that a hole (6) for receiving the fixing means is also provided in this end part (4), and in that the area edge of the otherwise flat end part (2) comprising the spiked tip (3) at the other end is bent upwardly.
