Abstract

The invention relates to a fluidized-bed furnace (1) having a first stationary fluidized bed (6) to which fuels which are to be burnt can be fed. A second stationary fluidized bed (6') having immersed heating surfaces is assigned to the first fluidized bed (6). Heat output from the first fluidized bed (6) is obtained by surplus bed material (10) being fed automatically from the first fluidized bed (6) to the second fluidized bed (6'). Cooled bed material (21) from the second fluidized bed (6') can be recirculated to the first fluidized bed (6).
