Abstract

The process of treating an aqueous effluent for extracting carbon dioxide and nitrogen gaseous compound useful in aquaculture in a recirculated aqueous environment, comprises separating the compound from the effluent for obtaining the treated aqueous phase depleted in the compound, injecting and distributing an air/oxygen gaseous phase in a rising liquid column of the aqueous effluent in a form of bubbles, and separating a mixed liquid/gas stream into a liquid stream constituting the treated aqueous phase and a gaseous effluent stream enriched in the gaseous compound. The air/oxygen gaseous phase is less rich in the compound than the aqueous effluent. The mixed liquid/gas stream is separated under reduced pressure by establishing a gaseous overhead between the liquid stream and the gas stream. The liquid stream separated from the gas stream constituting a downward liquid column is obtained by supplying the mixed liquid/gas stream above a high point. The downward liquid column and the rising liquid column are concentric with respect to the other, where the rising liquid column is placed in an interior of a treatment installation (1) and the downward liquid column is placed in an exterior of the treatment installation or converse. The aqueous effluent is introduced in a base of the rising liquid column and is drawn out from a base of the downward liquid column. The oxygen is injected and distributed in the rising liquid column at a level higher than a level of introduction of gas phase, and ozone is injected and distributed in the downward liquid column at a level lower than a level of introduction of gas phase. The gas stream is separated into an exudate liquid in a form of bubbles. Independent claims are included for: (1) a process of culture of living organism in aquaculture in a recirculated aqueous medium; and (2) an installation for treating an aqueous effluent.
