Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for insulating the lower space of a door or window comprising a housing (10) which is arranged in the lower area of a door or window and provided with a holding rail (44) arranged therein. Said rail is embodied in such a way that it is vertically movable and receives a gasket (46) and a releasing mechanism in the form of a spring clip (40) which is exposed to a pressure in such a way that it lowers the holding rail or the gasket when the door is closed and lifts the holding rail and the gasket when it is opened. Said invention is characterised in that the spring clip (40) is exposed to a tension force produced by at least one pressure spring (30) arranged in the housing (10) and prestressed at least when the door is opened.
