Abstract
The device (10) has a housing (14) comprising a fluid duct that defines a throughflow direction (A). The fluid duct extends from a fluid inlet to a fluid outlet. An alloy body (56) is arranged in the fluid duct such that the alloy body contacts with fuel conducted through the fluid duct, where the alloy body has silver as an alloy constituent. A magnet (58) i.e. anisotropic magnet, is arranged in the fluid duct. The alloy body and the magnet are biased within the fluid duct with a spring (60). An independent claim is also included for a method for reducing a pollutant fraction in exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine.
