Abstract

The invention relates to a document having an integrated display device (102), comprising display elements disposed in a matrix, wherein the matrix has row lines (Z0, Z1,..., Z n-1) and column lines (S1, S2,..., Sm-1), wherein each of the display elements can be activated via at least one of the row lines and via at least one of the column lines, and having an electronic circuit (104, 106) for the selection of the row lines and the column lines for activating the display elements, and wherein groups of row lines and/or column lines are determined, in that the row lines and/or column lines of the same group are associated with each other such that the row lines and/or column lines of said group can be selected only together by means of the electronic circuit.
