Abstract
1. A device for monitoring the proper electric and/or mechanic functioning of electromagnetic type indicator elements, characterized in that it includes a circuit (12, 13) which is sensitive to the magnetic field of the permanent magnet (6) of an electromagnetic indicator element (1) controlled by an electromagnet (7), this circuit including a magnetoresistor (12) adjacent the permanent magnet (6) and connected to an input (14a) of a comparator (15) another input (15c) of which is connected to the electromagnet (7) feeding circuit (11), and receives an information regarding the electric polarity of the control voltage applied to the electromagnet (7), so that an output (15b) of the comparator has a first value when the permanent magnet (6) occupies a position corresponding to that of the control voltage polarity, and a second value when the permanent magnet is not present or does not occupy said position, thus indicating a mechanic and/or electric failure of the indicator element, said comparator output being applied to a treatment electronic device (17) of these values allowing, for example, to stop a counting member connected to the indicator element in the event of a mechanic and/or electric failure of the latter.
