Abstract

The fuel injection system (1) comprises a high-pressure fuel pump (5), which supplies a fuel to a high-pressure fuel accumulator (7). The high-pressure fuel accumulator comprises multiple injectors (8) and a central pressure boosting device (6). The pressure boosting device is provided in a fuel supply direction between the high-pressure fuel pump and the high-pressure fuel accumulator.
