Abstract

The present invention aims to provide a safer toner having lower content of residual bisphenol A, which has been suspected of an endocrine disrupting chemical. <??>A toner for electrophotography which contains a coloring agent, and a binder resin, in which the binder resin is a polyol resin which is prepared by reacting a) an epoxy resin, b) a compound having one or more active hydrogen atoms which react with an epoxy group in molecules of the compound having one or more active hydrogen atoms, and c) a compound having two or more active hydrogen atoms which react with an epoxy group in molecules of the compound having two or more active hydrogen atoms, a weight concentration of unreacted bisphenol A in the toner is 1000 mu g/g or less, and the toner has an epoxy equivalent of 20000 or more.
