Abstract
The invention relates to a fuel injection valve for an internal combustion engine. Said fuel injection valve comprises at least one injection port (16), an injection valve member (10), which controls the injection of fuel via the injection port (16), an actuator (43), which actuates a piston (8) on which a pressure surface (47) is configured, a pressure compartment (20), which is filled with fuel and which is delimited by the pressure surface (47), and a fuel inlet duct (7), which is connected to the injection port depending on the piston of the injection valve member (10), a fuel pressure in the pressure compartment (20) exerting a force on the injection valve member (10). The invention is characterized in that the pressure compartment (20) is connected to the fuel inlet duct (7) via a pressure relief valve (56).
