Abstract

The invention relates to a pressing arrangement for dewatering a web of paper, cardboard, tissue or another type of fibrous web (1) in a machine for producing and/or converting the same, comprising: a first elongated press gap, which is formed by two press rolls (2, 3) and through which a water-absorbent dewatering belt (11, 12) is guided next to the fibrous web (1) on each side, one dewatering belt (11, 12) being led away from fibrous web (1) after the first press gap, and; a final press gap, which is formed by two press rolls (5, 6) and through which a water-absorbent dewatering belt (13) runs next to the fibrous web (1) and a smooth transfer belt runs on the side opposite the fibrous web (1), the fibrous web (1) being transferred from the guiding dewatering belt (11, 12) of the first press gap to the transfer belt (14). The aim of the invention is to decrease the complexity of the pressing arrangement and to improve the web guidance. To this end, the dewatering belt (11, 12) of the first press gap that, alone, guides the fibrous web (1) wraps around a suctioned transfer press roll (4) that, together with the press roll (5) of the last press gap, around which the transfer belt (14) wraps, forms a transfer gap.
