Abstract
The invention relates to an overcurrent protection unit for use in overvoltage protection devices having higher rated voltages in combination with a mechanical trip for a display and fusible elements for overload protection. According to the invention, a series circuit has a plurality of fusible elements forming a geometrically prescribed mechanical and electrical combination. The series circuit comprises a mechanical and electrical parallel combination of fusible elements, wherein at least one of the fusible elements of the parallel combination comprises a striker as a mechanical trip.
