Abstract

The invention relates to a signaling device and to a method for giving indications for driving a motor vehicle. Said signaling device comprises a navigation device (2) for determining a route to be traveled by the first vehicle (1), a communication device (4) for receiving information, an evalulation unit (3) for establishing directions that can be output, for driving the first vehicle (1), and an output unit (5) for outputting the determined indications. The invention is characterized in that the evaluation unit (3) compares the route to be traveled by the first vehicle (1) with a planned route, received by the communication device (4), of a second vehicle (6) driving ahead of the first vehicle (1) to establish the directions.
