Abstract

The device has at least one light source, slotted stop, spiral slot plate behind the slotted stop and photoelectric device and an evaluation device that measures the time in which the light beam(s) scan the object(s) and derives dimensions or distances. A common light source or a separate light source per slot with light of one or different frequencies or frequency modulated light amplitudes is/are provided for the slots in the slotted stop. The device has at least one light source (L 1-L 4), at least one slotted stop (D) illuminated by a parallel light beam, at least one spiral slot plate (DS) behind the slotted stop, at least one photoelectric device (F 1-F 4) and an evaluation device that measures the time in which the light beam(s) scan the object(s) and derives dimensions or distances. A common light source or a separate light source per slot with light of one or different frequencies or frequency modulated light amplitudes is/are provided for the slots in the slotted stop. The light passes via optical devices (S 1-S 21) to a photodiode connected to the evaluation device.
