Abstract

The invention relates to a triggering mechanism having a lockable moving contact (1), a tappet (2) and a triggering lever (3). In order to ensure optimum transmission of force by the tappet (2) to the triggering lever (3) and the moving contact (2), and also to permit a short switching time, the tappet (2) is intended both to operate the triggering lever (3) which is provided for unlocking the moving contact (1) and to operate the moving contact (1) itself. To this end, the tappet (2) is equipped with a first (8) and a second (9) operative area, these areas being integrally formed at different points of the tappet (2) and being provided to operate the triggering lever (3) and, respectively, the moving contact (1). On account of the unlocking which has to be triggered first, the triggering lever (3) is first operated and, following unlocking, the moving contact (1) itself is operated.
