Abstract
A process for the production of a polymer composition comprising a heat accumulating phase change material includes the following steps:
providing a heat accumulating phase change material having a phase change temperature,
wherein the phase change material is a salt hydrate;
providing a first monomer containing a functional group to which the phase change material can be bonded;
providing an aliphatic epoxy acrylate as a second monomer;
mixing the first and second monomers;
heating the blend of first and second monomers;
heating the phase change material so that it melts;
mixing the heated blend of first and second monomers with the melted phase change material;
allowing the first and second monomers to polymerize.
