Abstract

1. A steplessly adjustable support (10; 30) for a false floor, consisting of a stationary lower part comprising a base plate (11) and a base tube (12; 33) and a vertically adjustable upper part comprising a support plate (16; 40) and a support tube (14; 31) which is telescopically adjustable via a threaded connection in the base tube (12; 33) through a threaded connection, where the support tube (14; 31) is provided with an external thread (18; 32) and is non-rotatable in the base tube (12; 33) and where a rotatable adjusting ring (20; 35) is positionned on the upper end of the base tube (12; 33), the internal thread of the rotatable adjusting ring (20; 35) engaging with the external thread (18; 32) of the support tube (14; 31), characterised in that the support tube (14; 31) has a polygonal cross-section and that the upper region (34) of the base tube (33) is pressed on to a polygonal frame corresponding to the outer contour of the support tube (31), or the upper end of the base tube (12) is closed by an annular cap (13) having a polygonal opening (13a) corresponding to the outer contour of the support tube (14).
