Abstract

Trap device for a plumbing fixture of the type comprising a siphon body (1) of overall cylindrical or conical shape, one of the ends of the siphon body (1) that contains the inlet opening (10) being intended to receive a vertical plunger tube (2) for connecting the siphon body (1) to the wastewater discharge outlet of the plumbing fixture, whereas the opening (10') in the opposed end is intended to receive a cap (3), the inlet opening (10) of the trap body (1) being extended axially by an internal tube (13) into said cap (3) so as to form a water seal therewith, and a lateral opening (11), made in the cylindrical or conical surface of the siphon body (1), being extended outside of and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of said siphon body (1) by a tubular portion (12) for connection to a discharge pipe. Flexible plastic joints (4, 5, 6) respectively cover the inlet opening (10), the opening at the free end of the tubular piece (12) and the opening (10') at eth end of eth siphon body (1) for connection to the inlet opening of the cap (3). Said joints (4, 5, 6) permit a faster connection, in comparison to conventional devices, of the siphon body (1) to the plunger tube (2), the discharge pipe and the cap (3) respectively.
