Abstract

A folding door for a shower cubicle, consisting of three door leaves (11, 12, 13) of which an outer door leaf (11) is hinged onto a vertical frame member (14) while on the other side it is articulatingly connected by hinges (19) to the middle door leaf (12) in a vertical hingeing axis, characterized in that the hinges (19) have in each case two hinge parts which are fixed on the ends of adjacent vertical leaf frame members (17, 18), the hinge axis when the folding door (10) is completely closed being outwardly offset to one side in relation to the two leaf frame members (17, 18), and being, when the folding door (10) is moved into the completely open position, moved to the opposite outer side of the leaf frame members (17, 18) and in that rotatably mounted on a journal of the hinge parts on the upper and/or lower ends of the leaf frame members (17, 18) there there is a respective clamping (20, 21), the clamping parts being constantly guided in a horizontal plane relative to one another, and being positively locked together when the folding door (10) is in the completely closed and also when it is in the completely open position.
