Abstract

Lighting device amongst other things suitable as a curbstone or as a traffic controller comprising a lighting element, whereby the lighting element comprises a number of light-emitting diodes (LED's) cast in a light-conducting material, which LED's are mutually connected to be able to be coupled with an electronic supply circuit, and a construction element, which construction element is provided with a free space for the housing of the lighting element, characterized in that the lighting element is detachably placed in the free space of the construction element. The invention also relates to a method for applying an active lighting element in a lighting device.
