Abstract

1. A device for securing a needle strip (7) in a U-shaped needle carrier (2) on needle carrying textile machines by means of a projection and groove connection, characterized in that there are provided in at least one of the sides (4) of the U of the needle carrier (2), or in the needle strip (7), a plurality of spaced, adjacent, parallel grooves (12 ; 12') which, when arranged in the needle carrier (2), proceed from the inner space (6) of the U and extend to the free end (13) of said side thereof, said grooves, at least at their inner ends, extending at an acute angle to or parallel to the base (5) of the U ; and that the needle strip (7), or the needle carrier (2) respectively, comprises lateral projection (8 ; 8' ; 8") spaced at a distance (x) corresponding to the spacing (z) between the grooves (12), the arrangement being such that said projections engage in the grooves (12) upon insertion of the needle strip (7).
