Abstract

The element for a floor covering with a middle layer (2) and cover layer (D) has a tongue-in-groove connection method for connecting to other similar elements. The middle layer has a thickness (S) of up to 6 mm, and the short cheek (12) of the groove extends parallel to the upper side (4) of the element. The distance between the underside of the short cheek and upper side of the middle layer comes to 23-24 per cent of the middle layer thickness. The long cheek (16) of the groove is angled with regard to the underside (6) of the middle layer. The tongue has a thickness of 43-44 per cent with regard to the thickness of the middle layer.
