Abstract
The device has a housing (3) exhibiting an input terminal (11) for supplying a refrigerant and an output terminal for discharging the refrigerant. The housing receives a u-shaped pipe, container, filling pipe and filter in its inner chamber (7), where the u-shaped pipe, container, filling pipe and filter are fixed at the housing. The housing has a passage opening (43) for receiving a safety armature (45) against high pressure, and is designed as a single piece. An independent claim is also included for a method for collecting and drying a refrigerant in an air conditioning system in a motor vehicle.
