Abstract

1. Method of cleaning a heat exchanger (30) for heat recovery from an exhaust-air stream, consisting of tubes (32) traversed by a heat carrier which have lamellas (31) or ribs, characterized in that, during operation of the heat exchanger (30), nozzles (46) moving to-and-fro along the exhaust-air entrance side thereof are used to spray first a cleaning liquid and next a rinsing liquid in the direction of the exhaust-air stream, against the lamellas (31) or ribs of the heat exchanger (30), and the spent liquid is drained off below the heat exchanger (30).
