Abstract

The device comprises a rigid cap (20) with a single-piece design and an open end (22) for fitting over the rim of the can (1). A closure means inside the cap next to its open end is designed to be placed in contact with the top of the can. At least one resilient fixing part (24) inside the cap next to its open end is designed to be fixed to or around the can rim. The fixing part comprises a ring with at least three equidistant locking tabs (26).
