Abstract

A mounting for a disposable grinding disc, with the grinding material on the full face, has a backing with two sets of bayonet grips which fit over corresponding bayonet grips on a support disc fitted to the grinding machine. A first set of bayonet grips (11) align the discs and second set of bayonet grips (15) clamp the discs together. The locking action of the second set of bayonet grips also pulls the first set of bayonet grips into a locking position.
