The device provides a north-south magnetic field surrounding the sleeper and has elastic foils as magnet carriers (1) with individual magnets or magnetic particles incorporated in a binder. The carriers (1) are mounted on a bed base (2), so that at the centre of the bed a north pole is on one side of the sleeper with a south pole on the other. The arrangement of the north and south pole is reversed at the end of the bed where the feet are positioned. The device can alternatively be incorporated in a pillow or in an easy chair.
