Abstract

The fixed door frame (1) and the door leaf (2) have matching cutouts (4,4') which accommodate door plates (3,3') fastened by screws. There are brackets (10,10') which hold the ends of the hinge pins (8,8') which pass through bores in the edges of the connecting link (7,7'). There are elongated coil springs (13) above and below the hinge link, with their ends plugged into bores (11) in the fixed door frame and the edge of the door. The springs bend and partially pull out of the bore as the door is opened. Electric cables for equipment in the door leaf are threaded through the bores and the interior channel of the spring.
