Abstract
<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter which offers a less invasive and infallible puncture of a target tissue, and injection of a therapeutic composition into it by its injection needle. <P>SOLUTION: This catheter 20 is percutaneously inserted into a living body lumen, which has a sheath part 55 having a lumen extending therein, an insertion member freely slidably disposed in the lumen of the sheath part 55 and having a distal end part 62 capable of protruding from a distal end part 57 of the sheath part 55, an injection needle 63 disposed at the distal end part of the insertion member 62 for injecting a therapeutic composition into a target tissue, and paired electrodes 70 and 75 disposed at the distal end part 22 of the catheter 20 for measuring impedance. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
