Abstract
The motor vehicle internal combustion engine start up fuel feed (1) has a pressurized fuel feed (3) with a fuel accumulator (2) and an injector (5). The feed has an energy storage sprung piston (4) in the fuel accumulator. The piston spring is pretensioned by the stored fuel pressure. Upon starting, the spring is released to cause a larger increase in fuel feed pressure.
