Abstract
The cables for one side of the door are secured to the bottom door panel (1) one behind the other, at right angles to the length direction (13) of this panel. The door comprises a number of articulated panels with rollers (5) that can move along vertical side rails that curve in a horizontal direction at their top ends. The rollers for the top panel are moved along a second pair of side rails extending parallel to and lying above the horizontal part of the first pair of side rails. Elastically extendable tensile fittings, preferably fitted with weight balancing devices, extend above the two pairs of rails in a horizontal direction, the end remote from the door opening being attached to the building and the opposite end facing the opening being connected to cable guide rolls. Two or more cables extending around these rolls are anchored at one end and in the area remote from the door opening they extend essentially parallel to the horizontal part of the side rails. Close to the door opening the cables extend around further guide rolls and are secured to the bottom panel.
