Abstract

An illumination insert (10) for an installation device, especially a switch or key, comprises an assembly base (12) with a lamp (18) which can be assembled from the front. The insert consists of a dome section (24) which surrounds the lamp (18). The dome is made of a light transparent material, and the dome can be removed from the base if required. The dome preferably consists of polymethacrylate.
