Abstract

1. An arrangement for control monitoring the alignment of coke furnace control cars by means of passive, electromagnetic coupling elements arranged along the track of the control cars on both sides of the furnace chambers of the coke furnace and on each control car and which are connected to an electric monitoring device such that said coupling elements are arranged opposite one another in pairs at the desired halt points of the control cars at a suitable interval for wireless, inductive data transmission, characterised in that each control car (2, 3, 4, 5) is assigned decentral monitoring devices of identical construction which consist of signal-transmitting/signal-receiving devices (9, 20, 21, 22), each of which includes a microprocessor (23), a transmitter component (24 to 27), a receiver component (30 to 34), and a passive, electromagnetic coupling element (29), where the output of the transmitter component is connected to the transmitting coil (28) of the coupling element (29) and the input of the receiver component is connected to the receiving coil (31) of the coupling element (29), and where the microprocessor (23) controls the device such that its clock signal generator alternately switches the transmitter component and the receiver component on and off and during the transmitting phase supplies the input of the transmitter component with a pulse packet which the transmitter component supplies to the transmitting coil (28) of the coupling element (29) amplified such that it can be received with sufficient power via at least two coupling links by the receiver component of the respective receiving device during its receiving phase and can be analysed by the respective microprocessor, and that the monitoring devices of one of the furnace cars are superordinate to the devices of the other furnace cars in that the clock signal generators of the superordinate monitoring devices trigger those of the subordinate monitoring devices so that when a ready-for-operation signal has been emitted the superodinate devices commence the transmitting phase and the subordinate devices commence the receiving phase and the superordinate devices intermittently cooperate with the subordinate devices until the microprocessor of the respective superordinate device establihes identity between the transmitted and the received signal and actuates the furnace cars by means of an alignment pulse.
