Abstract
A process for the continuous production of mantled cables, especially coaxial cables with inner and outer conductors and an intermediate dielectric, comprises applying a polymer to the inner conductor using an extruder, and then cooling it. The polymer is cooled after the tool is removed and then calibrated, so an outer skin is formed which is denser than the rest of the polymer.
