Abstract

The packing machine for gherkins comprises a separator (3) which arranges them with a standard gap at right angles to the direction of movement of a conveyor. This transports them to a feeder (5) which feeds a fixed number of gherkins simultaneously to a shrink wrapper (7, 9) which wraps the group. A second feeder (11) receives the packed gherkins and feeds them on for further processing.
