Abstract
An installation for the heat treatment of metal components comprises a transfer tunnel (6) with an airtight envelope (7) and a mobile chariot (8), an assembly of treatment elements (1, 2), at least one inlet and/or outlet lock (3) and a closing mechanism (24, 38, 41) for selectively sealing the passages formed by the treatment elements. The transfer tunnel extends over the treatment elements and the lock, so that their openings are above and the chariot is provided with a lifting mechanism capable of hooking to one of the charges (5) for suspended transporting and vertical displacement in order to introduce and extract it to and from the treatment elements.
